SUMMARY:Consenting Adults: Sexual Ethics in the Pagan Community
DESCRIPTION:All times are Pacific. \nWith the recent news about noted Pagan musician/author Kenny Klein\, and a history of freed sexual attitudes in early Pagan history\, it is important to sit down and really address the issue of sex-positivity\, consent\, and what that actually looks like in a life informed by Paganism. With the high potential for abuse in structured teaching organizations\, it becomes a key issue for us to deal with and discuss in order to strengthen our covens and circles. \nSpeaking: Christine Hoff Kraemer (Author and Theologian)\, Shauna Aura Knight\, (Sex Positivity Activist & Author)\, Laurie Lovekraft (Priestess & Environmental Activist)\, Rabbit Matthews (Anti-Rape & Feminist Activist)\, and LaSara Firefox Allen (Author & Activist) \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nConsenting Adults: Sexual Ethics in the Pagan Community $10.00 USD\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nHaving trouble purchasing a ticket? On a student budget or activist’s income? Need-based scholarships are available. Send an email regarding your financial need to pantheonfoundation@gmail.com and we will work with you. SUMMARY:Know Your Pagan Religious Rights
DESCRIPTION:All times are Pacific. \nAs the message here in the States becomes more and more focused on an extreme Conservative Christian view (as media stories about temples being stolen from or made to stop functioning) it is important that individuals and organizers know their rights as they navigate a difficult place between exercising a right that many feel only applies to those who worship the God of Abraham. \nSpeaking: Byron Ballard (Asheville’s “Village Witch” and Public Schools Activist)\, Christina DiEdoardo (Attorney & Activist)\, and Cara Shultz (Author & Civic Activist) \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nKnow Your Pagan Religious Rights $10.00 USD\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nHaving trouble purchasing a ticket? SUMMARY:Pagan LGBTQI and Gender Activism
DESCRIPTION:All times are Pacific. \nAs Pagan worship (in all its forms) grows\, we need to work on creating inclusive language to nongenderconforming people and queer activists whose work is strengthened in Paganism. The current issues of trans inclusion in women’s spaces and work in gender-awareness for the greater society is of paramount importance for Paganism as a microcosm of that society. \nSpeaking: Elena Rose (Activist for Gender & Racial Empowerment)\, Lou Flores (Gay Pagan Conjure Worker)\, and P Sufenas Virius Lupus (Metagender Scholar & Activist) \n \n\n\n\n\n\nPagan LGBTQI and Gender Activism $10.00 USD \n\n\n\n\n\n\nHaving trouble purchasing a ticket? SUMMARY:Activism Among Pagans of Color
DESCRIPTION:All times are Pacific. \nFor far too long\, Paganism has been seen as being merely for affluent white people; as more and more Pagans of color have started speaking up\, sharing\, and finding each other\, it becomes important to address their specific experiences within and withOUT the circle/gather/halls of ritual and see ways we can be supportive and create structures that make their struggles a PART of their spiritual life instead of APART from their spiritual life. \nSpeaking: Khi Armand (Conjure Professional)\, Crystal Blanton (Author & Priestess)\, Xochiquetzal Duti Odinsdottir (Activist & Priestess) and Black Witch (Activist & Blogger) \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nActivism Among Pagans of Color $10.00 USD\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nHaving trouble purchasing a ticket? SUMMARY:Science and Nonduality Conference
DESCRIPTION:Science and Nonduality Conference \nThursday-Sunday\, October 23-26 \nDolce Hayes Mansion\, 200 Edenvale Avenue\, San Jose \nSee website for schedule and registration details \nhttp://scienceandnonduality.com \nhttp://www.hayesmansion.com \nhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyEsXi_r3rI \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLxdYhbNjOc \n  \n“The Entanglement of Life \n  \nEntanglement is one of the strangest parts of quantum mechanics – so strange\, in fact\, that Albert Einstein famously referred to it as ‘spooky action at a distance.’ An entangled system shows a property that has been measured for the whole but not for parts. For instance\, we may know that the sum of the spins of a pair of two particles is zero\, but neither of them is in a definite state (a condition referred to as superposition)\, particle until one is measured\, causing the other particle to assume the opposite state. The effect is instantaneous\, even if the two particles reside on opposite ends of the universe. \n  \nCuriously\, when science drills down into the core of even the most solid-looking object\, separateness dissolves\, and all that remain are relationships extending throughout\, and possibly beyond\, space and time\, revealing a deeper reality which evokes what sages from all ages and traditions have been describing as one substance – call it consciousness\, call it energy – comprising all the universe and giving rise to all appearances. \n  \nWhen we begin to explore the fabric of reality either through the lens of science or through the lens of spirituality\, a deeper understanding and experience of what we call reality emerges as infinite\, ever present\, interconnected whole. \n  \nWhat is the nature of the universe? \nWhat is the nature of awareness that makes it possible for us to experience the universe? \nIs there a scientifically viable way to explain consciousness? \nWhat is the connection between consciousness and the phenomenon of entanglement? \nIs our current scientific paradigm based on a subject/object split equipped to answer the bigger questions of life? \nIs there evidence of quantum entanglement on a macro scale? \nThese and many more questions will be explored at the next SAND14!”

DESCRIPTION:Bioneers Conference: Growing The Movement \nFriday-Sunday\, October 17-19 \nMarin Center\, 10 Avenue of the Flags\, San Rafael \nSee website for registration details \nhttp://www.bioneers.org/conference \n  \n“Yes\, 2014 marks our 25th Bioneers Conference birthday! We honor all of you who’ve shared and contributed to this amazing journey. We’re conjuring some special magic to celebrate this milestone with you at the 2014 Summit and throughout the year. \n  \nAfter a quarter-century\, the Bioneers community of leadership has learned a thing or two about breakthrough solutions and what directions to head in. Like a magnifying glass channeling sunlight\, the Growing The Movement theme is designed to help focalize this wealth of community wisdom\, skillfulness and vision into beams of action – a trellis of light on which our shared work can grow. \n  \nThe years between now and 2020 will be the most important in the history of human civilization. Climate change has crash-landed from the future into the present. The ecological debt we’ve incurred is dire. The hyper-concentration of wealth has captured our political systems\, impoverishing humanity\, the environment and democracy. The bottom line is we’re living beyond our means\, and the collection agency is at the door. \n  \nThis year’s gathering will include a powerful cross-section of speakers including Naomi Klein\, Eve Ensler\, Severine von Tscharner Fleming\, Terry Tempest Williams\, Patricia Gualinga\, and Paul Stamets. \nPlease join us for a weekend-long revolution from the heart of nature.”

We hold public events and provide an online community (through both Death Salon and our sister organization\, The Order of the Good Death) to increase discussion on this often-ignored subject\, focusing more on ideas and the broader cultural impacts of death than one’s personal interactions with mortality. \n  \nWho we are: We are historians\, writers\, artists\, musicians\, death professionals\, and armchair researchers shining a light on the culture of death denial by engaging with mortality via various media. We are academics and non-academics. We encourage the sharing of ideas in a respectful\, collegial environment. We aim for collaboration and innovation. We are out to change the way society looks at death by helping people engage with the phenomenon in meaningful ways. \n  \nWe’re bringing our first ever one-day Death Salon event to San Francisco October 11\, 2014. Deathlings will be taking over the Fleet Room at the Fort Mason Center. Just like our other Death Salon events\, we’ll have speakers and performers from various disciplines informing and entertaining you all day and evening on diverse topics related to the culture of mortality and mourning. \n  \nDay Session emceed by Death Salon co-founder\, mortician Caitlin Doughty of The Order of the Good Death. \n  \nNight Session emceed by Death Salon: SF Curators Annetta Black (Odd Salon) and Death Salon director Megan Rosenbloom.\nSee website for full line up of presentations.”

A $50 deposit will hold your reservation. \n  \nThe Temple of Isis is a legally recognized church in California established in June of 1996. We honor the Goddess Isis\, who in modern terms equates with Mother Earth\, and has been worshipped longer than any other deity known on the planet. \n  \nIn honoring Isis we honor the earth\, recognizing the peril of this time\, given the amount of pollution\, destruction of endangered species and violence between countries and each other. We seek to establish harmony\, caring\, and love among all people by gently pointing the way to a more feminine perspective. We have no dogma\, but prefer what may humorously be called catma\, a kind of freedom and independence in thought stemming from the ancient wisdom of Egypt \n  \nWe generally follow the principles of the Fellowship of Isis\, out of which our temple was born. The FOI was established by Lady Olivia Robertson and her brother at Clonegal Castle\, Enniscorthy\, Ireland\, which has thousands of members in over 80 countries. Those who are members of the FOI are connected only by their love for the Goddess as each practices in whatever way they wish. The idea is to create balance by incorporating the feminine in deity. We all need the nurturing\, forgiveness\, and compassion that the Great Mother provides\, as we seek to integrate and strengthen both our lunar and solar qualities. Those who become Priestesses and Priests of Isis\, within this Temple\, pledge to honor all life and commit to help the earth and her people’s not only for her preservation but to bring to our lives and the lives of future generations more light and wisdom. \nIf you are interested in becoming part of the Temple of Isis\, we would welcome your email. We are hoping If you are interested in being part of the Temple of Isis\, we welcome your email\, or Friending us on Facebook. We are creating a spiritual community of like-minded people who wish to build a new world\, in peace\, balance\, and harmony \n  \nThe Temple of Isis is located at Isis Oasis Sanctuary\, on 10 beautiful acres in Geyserville\, California. The actual Temple is always open for private meditation time. The sanctuary has a pool\, spa\, sauna\, aviaries of birds and endangered cats which are bred here\, plus a sacred 500 year old fir tree. Isis Oasis serves also as a site for weddings and other sacred ceremonies.”

SUMMARY:Foreverland: A Faerie-Tale Themed Festival on Lake Lodoga
DESCRIPTION:Foreverland: A Faerie-Tale Themed Festival on Lake Lodoga \nFriday-Sunday\, September 19-21 \nEast Park Reservoir\, Stonyford (in Colusa County) \n$125 \nhttp://experienceforeverland.com \nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1512749355606255 \nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/foreverland-2014-3-day-music-camping-event-tickets-12615341827 \nhttp://www.usbr.gov/mp/ncao/eastpark/docs/EPbrochure.pdf \n  \n“All pirates\, fairies\, and kids that never want to grow up – a new land has been discovered where all your dreams can become realities! This wondrous new place is brimming with art and music\, song and dance\, magic and splendor! Join us in celebrating the discovery of FOREVERLAND with three days of music\, camping\, swimming\, workshops\, and community. \n  \nForeverland is a faerie-tale themed gathering dreamt up from Peter Pan’s Neverland\, and breathed into life by a mega-collaboration of production companies including Enchanted Forest\, Fractal Planet\, Pulse SF\, Hookahdome\, Sacred Spaces\, and Emersion (former members of NEXUS.) Come join us as we christen one of the most epic venues to ever host our festival culture. Lake Lodoga in Colusa County is just two and a half hours north of the Bay Area and features a Lake for swimming\, trees and plenty of space to roam free and dance to music 24 hours a day! \nAt Foreverland\, we invite you to explore the duality that exists within each one of our very souls and hearts. The container we create is meant to be an homage to both. Whether you are experiencing the innocence of your inner lost boy/girl’s sweetest intentions\, or conversely; expressing your your wildest desires\, and mischievous pirate fantasies\, Foreverland gives us a safe container and playground to explore these dualities\, and ultimately to embody the harmony that lies between.”
