“This important, sensitive, and beautiful new film was named Best Documentary Film by the Red Nation Film Festival, and portrays the struggle of the Wixarika people to save their most sacred site, Wirikuta, the site of their pilgrimages from time immemorial, from Canadian mining companies.
In addition to being of interest from a social, spiritual, journalistic and artistic standpoint, the film has become the cutting edge of the movement to save Wirikuta and has the official approval of the tribal authorities of the four main Wixarika territories, in addition to the Wixarika Council of Ceremonial Centers.”
