“Add a bit of texture and sparkle to your holiday decor with tiny woven ornaments. In this workshop, Ama Wertz will teach you a few basic weaving techniques to create two ornaments, one for gifting and one for you! Class includes all materials.

Ama Wertz is a weaver and explorer, a maker and a doer. Endlessly curious to learn how things are made and peeking into the lives and studios of craftspeople, her art practice led her to weaving a few years ago and she haven’t stopped since. She is a zealot for incorporating local elements into her work, whether it be fiber raised within her local fibershed, natural plants foraged and boiled to create surprising shades, or collaborating with other artisans and makers to amplify weaving’s inherent beauty. Inspired by backpacking trips, California landscapes and architecture, passages in books, portraits of people and cats, and sparkling stained glass.
