Because when our Temple group organized some singles parties some years back\, people liked it that way – less risk of miscommunication. \n  \nI’ve been trying to find a venue for these for a while: one problem is that in order to reserve space at any county park or Palo Alto park\, I have to pay up front and know how much space I need (some reservations are per table). Reservations for these areas are very expensive\, and since I don’t have that kind of cash floating around\, I’m holding these without reserving space – meaning\, we may or may not actually get picnic tables. \n  \nSo bring a picnic blanket and food to share: I’ll bring a blanket where we can lay out the food buffet-style. The park has plenty of space\, so if we don’t get tables we’ll get a grassy area. \n  \nWhen you arrive\, please check in with me for your name tag (and feel free to toss money in the bucket: no one will be turned away for lack of donation)!\nHoping all you singles can attend.
