Four special screenings at The EXIT Theatre\, preceded by a live show by Christian. These screenings will be followed shortly after by the online release of the film. \nBack in early 2011\, best friends Christian Cagigal and internationally recognized filmmaker\, H.P. Mendoza\, filmed three special performances of Now And At The Hour before live audiences at EXIT Theatre. They added to that documentary interviews with independent theatre artists in the Bay Area. But soon\, both Mendoza and Cagigal were whisked into their individual careers and successes which took them away from finishing this very DIY film project. But\, the day is finally here. This December\, The EXIT Theatre along with Mendoza’s film company\, Ersatz Film\, that he co-founded with partner\, Mark Del Lima\, will be screening the film of Now And At The Hour before giving it its online release.”

SUMMARY:The Dragon Play
DESCRIPTION:The Dragon Play \nby Jenny Connell Davis \nThursday-Sunday\, November 6-December 21 – extended! \nThursday-Saturday 8:00PM\, Sunday 7:00PM \nImpact Theatre at La Val’s Subterranean\, 1834 Euclid Avenue\, Berkeley\, 510-224-5744 \n$20 in advance\, $25 at the door \nhttp://impacttheatre.com \nhttps://www.vendini.com/ticket-software.html?t=tix&e=4640cdef022039e6c9c82c92156fbf9d \nhttp://www.lavals.com \n  \n“In the frozen north a woman and her husband\, weathering the challenges of their marriage\, receive a mysterious visitor who threatens to upend their world. Decades before and thousands of miles away in the burning south\, an 11-year-old boy and a 300-year-old – yet still relatively adolescent – dragon girl meet and fall in love. Far from fairy tales or airbrushed fantasies\, these two achingly poignant stories alternate in a heart-rending dance of desire\, longing\, and commitment that spans time and geography. The intensity of the ways these characters yearn and fall for each other is like nothing audiences have witnessed on stage\, and the staggering final revelation will stop your heart with its beauty.”

DESCRIPTION:Faulted\npresented by foolsFURY\nNovember 15-December 6\, see website for detailed schedule\nThick House\, 1695 18th Street\, San Francisco\n$20\nhttp://foolsfury.org/fury/faulted\nhttp://faulted.bpt.me\nhttp://www.thickhouse.org \n  \n“Join foolsFURY at The Thick House in San Francisco for the world premiere of Angela Santillo’s original play Faulted. Directed by Evren Odcikin\, Faulted is an ode to California in all its mysterious\, tectonic plate shifting contradictions. Epic and roman\, vegan and carnivore\, West Side and the Central Valley combine under the signs of the next Big One\, looming just under the horizon. \nThe mighty San Andreas Fault has woken up and set his eyes on Los Angeles\, home to an earth empath named Aurora. Sitting in her trailer\, Aurora can hear and sometimes see seismic activity before it registers on the finely tuned scientific instruments at nearby Caltech. Mitch\, a graduate student at Caltech’s Seismological Laboratory\, has been sent to collect data about Aurora. Their meeting turns out to be much more than a collision between worlds of science and New Age belief. Attended by a chorus of godlike figures embodying California’s fault lines\, Aurora must convince Mitch to trust her predictions before it’s too late.”

Penny\, a compulsive and compulsively watchable candidate for state office\, enlists the help of Francine\, a silver-tongued operative. Francine’s husband Jeffrey\, a doctor\, is lying to his dying patients – one of whom opens his eyes to Penny’s nefarious plans for the Cornhusker State.

Since its inception\, Big Apple Circus has produced thirty-six original shows\, each created around a specific theme integrating aspects of traditional theater (original music compositions\, lighting\, choreography\, sets and costumes) with classical circus artistry. A small core company of performers returns each year with new acts and are joined by guest artists selected from the top ranks of international circus stars.”
