A light thread through the body from the center of the Earth toward to outer space. A flower starts blooming on your chest. By the fragrance of the flower\, you wake up. On your innocent eyes\, things are reflecting as your own self.\nThe Story of Earthchild project began as three male Butoh dancers\, Ronny Baker\, Luku Netherthot\, and Armando Davila\, sprouted here at Subterranean Arthouse in 2008 under the school of TAMANO-HIJIKATA Butoh method. Since their first Butoh project years ago\, these three young dancers have studied hard by competing with each other. Competing into collaboration\, the next project has been born.”

There are eight stages and performance areas.  Our main stage hosts many of the best Celtic musicians on the world stage. \n  \nAs late summer begins to cool\, the Nevada County Fairgrounds will be transformed into a Celtic village where world-famous Celtic musicians perform\, shopping and dining opportunities abound and O’Dea’s Irish Pub celebrates the change of season.  Hundreds of regional performers\, singers\, bagpipers\, actors\, jugglers and storytellers roam the fairgrounds. \n  \nMusicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and join in with jam sessions and workshops scheduled throughout the weekend.  Revelers make music into the night in the campgrounds complete with tall trees and a lake. \n  \nHistory buffs explore encampments of Guilds who re-create points and places in time. Royalty and their subjects demonstrate how peasants and gentry lived in Ireland\, Scotland and Wales. Exciting and educational\, the Celtic Animals exhibit houses falcons\, eagles\, hawks\, owls\, sheep and ponies. \n  \nAmateur and professional athletes test their strength and skill in Scottish Games. Children are kept engaged with arts and crafts\, story telling\, and romping in a straw bale castle. Seniors are admitted an hour before the event opens on Sunday and treated to scones and tea. The festival is disabled accessible.  Camping and RV hookups are available on-site.”

Now Trevor brings Working for the Mouse back to Impact for a very special two-night-only event. Effortlessly shifting between several characters\, Trevor weaves a unique coming-of-age tale that reveals just what goes on at The Happiest Place on Earth: sex\, drugs\, kicks to the crotch\, and a social hierarchy among characters in which the lowest people are actually forbidden to speak. A hilarious and moving paean of innocence lost\, with a bravura performance by Trevor Allen that is not to be missed.”

DESCRIPTION:Working for the Mouse \na one-person show with Trevor Allen \nMonday-Tuesday\, September 22-23\, 8:00PM \nImpact Theatre at La Val’s Subterranean\, 1834 Euclid Avenue\, Berkeley\, 510-224-5744 \n$20 in advance\, $25 at the door \nhttp://impacttheatre.com \nhttps://www.vendini.com/ticket-software.html?t=tix&e=099c24b37f54f3c8867351e29259f2b9 \nhttp://www.lavals.com \n  \n“Trevor Allen has delighted audiences and critics alike with his riotously sordid memoir of playing a costumed character at Disneyland.

Chanteys of African American\, Anglo American\, English\, and French origin are included in their repertoire\, covering international maritime history and lore. Founder and leader Salty Walt has performed at the Mystic Seaport Sea Music Festival\, the Chicago Maritime Festival\, as well as performing internationally in Britain\, Germany\, and the Netherlands\, and has crewed aboard several square-rigged sailing ships. \n  \nLinsey Aitken and Ken Campbell \nhttp://www.linskenscotland.co.uk \nSaturday\, October 25\, 8:00PM \nLinsey Aitken and Ken Campbell\, direct from Loch Lomond\, Scotland\, present one of the best repertoires in contemporary Scots acoustic music: Self-penned and traditional songs and tunes\, that covers a host of subjects\, all with a Scottish theme. They have performed in festival and concert venues throughout Europe\, the USA and beyond. Linsey accompanies on cello\, and Ken on guitar. \n  \nHoldstock and Macleod \nhttp://www.holdstockmacleod.com \nSaturday\, November 15\, 8:00PM \nDick Holdstock and Allan Macleod are still enthusiastically performing together after over 30 years. They perform authentic renditions of the songs of their homelands – England and Scotland. Captivating audiences from coast to coast\, they trade off on guitar and mandolin for accompanying their songs\, as well as singing without accompaniment. Hearing their music is always a memorable event and an extraordinary glimpse into a not so distant maritime past. New insights into history and old customs are revealed through their songs.”

Quite a part of a year\, anyway – Odie’s only eight months old. But even at his young age\, he’s mad as hell and wants to fight his way to the top. Did we mention Odie’s a rooster? Odie’s trainer\, fast-food cashier Gil\, has been raising Odie in a bid to return to the horrific world of cockfighting\, his only chance to win at something in life. To get there\, though\, Gil and Odie have to survive Dickie the cockfight promoter\, Gil’s mom\, and Philipa\, Gil’s young McDonald’s manager who’s got big dreams of her very own. A gut-busting yet poignant portrait of the price of ambition\, this is the must-see show of the fall.”
