Linda Sartor joined the International Solidarity Movement in Israel/Palestine in June of 2002; she joined Iraq Peace Teams in February 2003; went to Sri Lanka with the Nonviolent Peaceforce 2003-2008; did a Global Exchange citizen diplomacy trip to Iran in October 2008, took her first trip to Afghanistan with Voices for Creative Nonviolence in March/April 2011; and was deported from Bahrain in February 2012. Linda lives in an intentional community in Sonoma County, teaches research courses in graduate school, and guides wilderness trips with a non-profit organization called Rites of Passage.
