You’ve been to Oz before, but never like this. Come see a fantastic, re-imagined musical that sees Dorothy, played by Diana Ross, transported by a snowstorm into a land that is entirely new to her.

She and her little dog find themselves in a phantasmagorical version of Manhattan. They make new friends: a scarecrow from a junkyard, played by Michael Jackson. Also a broken-down tinman from a decaying amusement park, played by Nipsey Russell. And the third new friend is a cowardly lion (Ted Ross) who has been pretending to be a statue.

The four of them have many amazing adventures and close calls with the Wicked Witch of the West, as they go off in search of the Wiz – Richard Pryor – who can grant their wishes.

The Wiz was a huge hit on Broadway, and then was made into this delightful film, directed by Sidney Lumet.

The Wiz plays once only on Thursday, December 11, at 7:00PM. All seats are $8. Moviegoers are advised to get advance tickets at the box office or online, as shows may sell out. Arriving early is a good idea, in order to choose your seat and also order delicious food and wine or beer.
